Weymouth Community Networking Meetings

An invitation to Weymouth Voluntary Sector Groups

Upcoming Dates: TBC
Held from 12pm to 2pm within Weymouth Town Council Offices.

Following discussions and your feedback from our first event on the 1st March, we will now be offering the following support over the next couple of months. We have arranged this event in partnership with Weymouth Town Council, who are funding this support.  The aim of the event is to bring groups together to discuss issues of importance to you and to find out from you how you would like to access additional support.

Our experience of hosting these events have shown that attendees get most out of ‘news from the floor’.  The time allowed for each group is dependent on the number of attendees.  To give some direction and to get to the bottom of any challenges you’re facing we will ‘theme’ each session. For example, name the top 3 challenges your organisation faces.

Surgeries

Thursday will be surgery day.  You will need to complete an online referral form in order to book a 1 hour appointment. Click here for our REFERRAL FORM

This appointment can be used for our Advisor, Julie, to conduct a health check of your organisation or discuss any specific issues you may need support with ie. bid writing, social media, recruitment, governance.  If you need help and are not available on Thursday then an appointment can be made to suit.

Please use this link to the doodle poll to book your appointment.

Helpline

You will have access to a dedicated helpline Monday and Friday mornings from 9am – 12.00.
Telephone: 01202 847610

Training

These were the training priorities highlighted from our session at the previous Network Session.  We plan to cover 3 of these as Online pre-recorded training sessions that you view at a time that is convenient to you.

  • Marketing and telling your story
  • Community consultations
  • Financial planning
  • Strategic direction
  • Business planning
  • Safeguarding

Volunteer & Trustee recruitment was the most frequently requested so we are going to develop a bespoke session for you on this topic that will be delivered face to face.  Details to follow.
