Following on from our last very successful meeting in May, we would like to invite you to attend our next meeting on 7th August 2018. The Trustee Club, supported by Ward Goodman, aims to support Charity Trustees, Social Enterprise Directors and Management committee members provide good governance and effective leadership which is fundamental to the success of their organisations.  This is the only network in Dorset which exists solely to support Trustees, Social Enterprise Directors & Managers of not-for-profit organisations from across the sector.

Our guest speaker will be Ellie Maguire, Grants Manager from Dorset Community Foundation, and her talk highlight the due diligence checks that DCF (and many other funders) undertake on organisations applying for funding, before reading the actual application.

DCA has 50 years of experience providing professional business support to local VCSE organisations and Ward Goodman, as an advisor to the Trustee Club, will bring specialist knowledge in areas including governance, trading activities, gift aid, accounting, auditing and financial reporting.

The Club will achieve this by providing future members with;

– News and updates from the Charity Commission, ICO, Fundraising Regulator etc.

– Facilitated discussion forum for members to have their questions answered and share their experience

– Access to a DCA linked network of support organisations e.g. solicitors, accountants, etc.
