Our next Trustee Club Breakfast Meeting will be on 12th March at The Exchange, Sturminster Newton. On this occasion the event will be FREE, with thanks to the support of Ward Goodman and Church House Investment. The meeting will run from 7.45am registration for 8am start through to 9.45am.
The Session will look at Core Funding, Full cost Recovery and investment. We look forward to seeing you.
8.00 am Arrival, networking & coffee and croissants
8.15 am “Funding Core cost and Full cost recovery” Anita Hansen & Paula Bennetts, Dorset Community Action. Core costs are those associated with the running of your organisation, those essential functions that if they weren’t funded could limited the operation and effectiveness of your organisation. These costs can be covered if they are related to a specific project (full cost recovery), but if they are associated with the management of the organisation then they are less appealing to donors and funders as they are not directly achieving your outcomes or benefiting your service users. So how can you cover core costs and ensure the effective management of your organisations services. This session aims to give some useful hints and tips to sustain your operational costs.
8.35 am “Investing Funds” – Church House Investment.
8.50 am Investment matters – a guide for Trustees – Dorset Community Action
9.15 am News, updates & issues from the floor / Q & A
9.30 am Networking
9.45 am Close
We are also running a Focus on Rural Dorset networking event after the breakfast meeting so if you would like to attend please book onto both events. DCA would like to thank Ward Goodman for their continued support of the Trustee Club and Church House Investment for their contribution.
