He has more than 35 years at senior and board level appointments in private and public companies and the manufacturing industries.

Anita works within East Dorset and Christchurch providing support and advisory services to help community & voluntary groups develop their potential. The support and advice available is in the form of organisations healthchecks, information resources, factsheets & signposting, training and consultancy support. Anita also organises the Annual DCA East Dorset Funding Fair which attracts national and local funders to Dorset.

Derek Howshall, Trustee

Derek followed a 20 year career as an officer in the Royal Signals, serving in a variety of command, technical and staff appointments in the UK and overseas. In 1988 he moved into the Defence Communications Industry and worked on a number of communications equipment and system support contracts for UK MoD and latterly as the UK company project manager for the Austrian and Swiss national defence networks. He retired from the industry in 2010.

Gerry Stoker is Centenary Research Professor at the University of Canberra, Australia and a Professor at the University of Southampton, UK. He has published over 25 books and over a hundred articles in journal and chapters in edited books.

Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset, Angus Campbell, Esq (Patron)

Angus was raised in North Dorset and was Commissioned into the Army as one of the first direct-entry Army Air Corps Pilots and served in West Germany, United Nations Cyprus, Northern Ireland, Canada and finally as Second in Command of 16 Flight Army Air Corps in Cyprus before retiring at the end of his Short Service Commission. .

Jo works with priority communities throughout West Dorset (including Weymouth and Portland). Her work includes helping community groups identify their concerns and needs, and supporting community-based projects.

Nick worked for most of his professional life in the voluntary sector, until his retirement in 2011. For the last twenty years he was Chief Executive of Voluntary Action Sheffield (DCA’s counterpart in Sheffield) and served for 6 years as a Trustee of the National Association for Voluntary & Community Action.

Nicky was raised in Dorset before studying Institutional Management and moving into sales, corporate business development, personal development training, marketing, and communications. She now owns Media Box Marketing and is co-founder of The Marketing Menu Consultancy a marketing training company. As well as this she has set up and sold a mail order limited company and chaired a local national award winning children’s charity.

Pauline is currently County Councillor for Blackmore Vale Division in North Dorset and also a District and Town Councillor within that rural area. She brings 18 years experience as a local councillor and 35 years in the criminal justice system, with offenders, their families and children.
