DCA is proud to support #VillageHallsWeek 2019.  Last year DCA supported the first ever ACRE national Village Halls week and celebrated the vital role Dorset’s Village Halls play in addressing rural isolation and loneliness by providing essential services and activities and bringing local communities together.  We’re getting ready to be part of this year’s week long celebration that takes place between 22 – 28th January 2019.

During this week we will be providing useful tips and downloadable information on our website and Facebook & twitter page.  Each day will have a different topic and we plan to cover: capital and core funding, marketing your hall, Strengthening your trustee board, evidence of need for village halls and managing risk.

We will also be featuring a different village hall each day recognising the essential role they play within their community.

How your hall can get involved in the week of celebration:

·        Join in the discussion and share your experience, expertise and success stories on issues that have affected your hall on the DCA Facebook and twitter. – include link

·        Hold a Discover your Village Hall event and invite the community, local councillors, local press etc.  Tell DCA and we’ll help promote it.

·        Include the #VillageHallsWeek and use the banner (include link) on your website and social media

·        Follow activities and updates on social media ACRE’s Twitter @VillageHalls_Wk, Facebook via @ACREnational, Instagram via @ACRE_national
