Dorset’s communities after Local Government Reorganisation – a conversation with the Shadow Council

Friday 7th December 2018 - 9.00 am to 1.00 pm (followed by a light networking lunch)

Dorford Centre, Bridport Road Dorchester DT1 1RR

  • Want to know where we are going in Dorset after local government reorganisation and how communities will be engaged by the new Council?

  • Want to make sure that Dorset’s voluntary, community & social enterprise (VCSE) sector is heard?

  • Want to discuss the current challenges we face, from funding, to how volunteers can play a part in the new local government system?

If so, come and join the conversation, and voice your questions to our panel of cross sector experts from VCSE and statutory sectors.

The day will start at 9.15am (9.00am registration) with our Annual General Meeting followed by the Conference at 10.00am (9.45am registration) to be led off by members of the VCSE Sector Transition Group, and members of the Dorset Shadow Executive to outline where we are with Local Government Reorganisation (speakers to be confirmed).

You will then have the opportunity to participate in network discussions with other people attending the conference, and pose your questions to a panel of experts from the VCSE and statutory sectors.

This will be a great chance to get an update on local government reorganisation in Dorset, network, and to ask the questions on the issues that matter to you of the people taking forward the setting up of Dorset’s new Council.
