Easy Steps To Getting Funding For Your Great Idea

This course will help you in preparing for and writing a successful funding bid. A successful bid is when your group is able to sell a project idea through a funding application or letter to a Trust or Foundation. If the funder is inspired by your project then they will want to help you make this happen.

Course aims to:

  • To develop the skills and knowledge necessary to make sure you have all your paperwork in order before you apply anywhere for money.
  • Understanding of how to put this information into a funding bid
  • Develop an understanding of the organisations you are approaching for money – it is worth the investment of time
  • Help you describe the impact of your project
  • Help you recognise a successful funding letter
  • Provide tools and resources to support raising money to keep your organisation going in the long term.

Our “Easy Step” courses are underpinned by common sense principles to help your organisation succeed. Each “Easy Step” short course is broken down into clear steps supported by exercises, worksheets, examples and experience to help you understand each step before moving onto the next.

Who this course is for?

  • You work in a voluntary and community organisation, charity or social enterprise and need to deliver successful projects, attract funding and support and raise awareness but lack knowledge, experience or confidence to do so
  • You are a charity trustee or manager and are legally required to ensure your organisation remains solvent and delivers public benefit but you have no formal training or lack of knowledge and experience
  • You have responsibility for project development and management and wish to understand more about how it can best work
  • You are looking to motivate and support others in your organisation.

Venue: The Little Keep, Barrack Rd, Dorchester DT1 1SQ

Cost: £30pp for community groups and non statutory groups, £40pp for statutory groups.
