Welcome to the inaugural meeting of the DCA Trustee Club, supported by Ward Goodman.  The DCA Trustee Club aims to support Charity Trustees, Social Enterprise Directors and Management committee members provide good governance and effective leadership which is fundamental to the success of their organisations.  The Club will achieve this by providing its members with;

- News and updates from the Charity Commission, ICO, Fundraising Regulator etc.

- Facilitated discussion forum for members to have their questions answered and share their experience

- Access to a DCA linked network of support organisations e.g. solicitors, accountants, etc. 

- Access to tools, resources and training.

- Networking opportunities 

This is the only network in Dorset which exists solely to support voluntary and community organisations, charities and social enterprises.  DCA has 50 years of experience providing professional business support to local VCSE organisations and Ward Goodman, as an advisor to the Trustee Club, will bring specialist knowledge in areas including governance, trading activities, gift aid, accounting, auditing and financial reporting.

The first trustee club meeting will be on 9th May from 8am until 10am at the Community Learning and Resource Centre, Wimborne at a subsidised charge of just £10.

The initial meeting agenda has been developed by DCA in discussion with Jen Richardson, Ward Goodman, the Trustee Forum Meeting held November 2018 during Trustees week and DCAs regular discussions with Trustees. It is the intention that future meetings will address the issues raised by Club members.
