COMMA Fund - added 07.01.2011

We have now heard from Defra regarding the future of the Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund (ALSF) and unfortunately it is not good news. Following the Spending Review, the government have decided to discontinue the ALSF programme of work from the end of this current financial year. This means that the COMMA fund, which is part of the ALSF programme, will close. This will not affect those projects that were awarded grants in July 2010 which are due to be completed at the end of March this year. The scheme originally opened in 2007 and attracted almost 900 applicants during the 3 years it ran.
